Charlie and Remy Pitch a Show
Jerna Van Vooren and Brian Beardsley
When Charlie and Remy get the chance to pitch their show, you can bet they're excited. It's not everyday a major streaming service shows interest in what you have to offer. So Charlie and Remy travel to the headquarters to present their show. There's only one obstacle for them to succeed. Both are trans women. Now they are hoping that the company would be as accepting and diverse as they claim to be.
For this project, Van Vooren sends me a script. I pass back notes, and we discuss anything that she’s not sure of how to clear up. Van Vooren passes the script to Brian Beardsley, who produces layouts, art and trial lettering. The proof copy comes back to me, and I send back final lettering notes to Beardsley through Van Vooren—Beardsley redrafts and that’s that!

Jerna Van Vooren and Brian Beardsley
Charlie and Remy are back home, after their previous adventure. Now, a new major player shows an interest in their show, the largest broadcaster of Great Britain. With bated breath, Charlie and Remy step through the doors of the company, hoping this endeavour will hopefully be more positive than the last.
